Citric Acid Bagging Applications

Citric acid is a crystalline granular or granular/fine powder blend with hygroscopic and mildly corrosive properties. During packaging, it can generate dust and trap air at the bag mouth. After filling, internal product deaeration and bag-mouth air release are required to support dense downstream palletizing. To ensure reliable heat sealing in the next step, powder on the inner side of the bag mouth must be removed so that the seal can meet the required tightness.

Application Notes

Key Application Notes

  • Final capacity depends on citric acid grade, particle form, bag type, target weight and downstream equipment capacity.
  • Material flowability, dust level and moisture sensitivity should be evaluated before confirming the feeding and filling route.
  • Bag quality and closing method affect line stability and finished bag presentation.
  • Palletizing and pallet load covering can be integrated according to project requirements.
